The Northwestern Journal of Law and Social Policy invites the submission of original scholarly articles for consideration in Volume 21, to be published during the 2025-2026 academic year. The Journal is dedicated to advancing critical legal scholarship that examines the complex interactions between law and social policy, with particular attention to how legal systems impact marginalized and underserved communities.
We seek submissions that thoughtfully engage with a wide range of pressing social and legal issues, including but not limited to civil rights, racial justice, gender equity, disability rights, environmental justice, housing and education policy, public health, labor and employment law, criminal justice reform, and other areas where law intersects with social policy.
The Journal welcomes contributions from legal scholars, practitioners, policymakers, advocates, and students whose work offers insightful analysis and proposes solutions to the most significant challenges facing our society today. Submissions should demonstrate a commitment to rigorous legal scholarship and to advancing conversations that have the potential to drive meaningful and lasting change.
Authors are invited to submit their manuscripts and CVs through Scholastica or via email to grace.green@law.northwestern.edu. Student notes should be submitted through Scholastica or via email to elizabeth.james@law.northwestern.edu. We look forward to reviewing your scholarship and to continuing the essential discourse on the role of law in shaping social policy.
Sincerely,
Northwestern Journal of Law and Social Policy Editorial Board
